Your Life. by Rasika Thangarajah
“This is your life. Your blank canvas, that you can paint as you please. Your song, that you can sing off-key. Your book, you can write anything with ease. You have the freedom to do whatever you want. If it seems impossible to the outside eye, prove that it isn’t. Self-loathing, pity, fear can take away your life. You wouldn’t give your life to anyone you don’t like, so why give it to emotions, that don’t like you? It’s your life. Not the mere definition of survival, but life. Stop looking for signs, stop waiting for the right time and just go out and live. You have a problem preventing you from living? Every problem has a solution. Every. Single. One. And if it doesn’t, you’re not looking hard enough. Believing hard enough. Sadness is temporary, it’s not meant to be forever. Just like a thunderstorm, it will pass. You will be happy again. Trust in that fact and Go. Go live your life the way you’re supposed to.”
- I wish I was told this earlier.
