Behind The Glass Door by Vasudha Jhingan

What lies behind the glass door
Does anyone know anymore?
The sight of people happily burping
The faded sound of birds chirping
Cars moving in and out of garage
Was it all just a mirage?

I was happy to see the world I created
When nature mocked me and berated
I thought I was helping and doing an art
When nature told me to calm down as she was the real bard.
I thought I came, I saw, I conquered
When your wrath has now got me bunkered.
You have put the world on probation
Why are You and I in altercation?
I seek your pardon
I do not want to be a burden
I played with your pristine
Is that why you have put me in quarantine?
Do not charge a fee for my glee
I promise to stay in and let you be.
Now let the curse be uplifted
As what lies behind the glass door is
ME, moved and drifted.
